Forest hotel.

Naumann Architektur built and furnished a modest hotel in Ramsen, a little German village. The hotel attracted new people so the owners decided to expand the the hotel into an 18th century house.
Martin Naumann said that "we kept the atmosphere of the forest very much in mind and were careful not to destroy it with attention-grabbing design". Each room is different because of the irregularity of the old house.

My greek experience.

In summer 2008 we went to Greece. We visited Olympia, Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu...
I really loved visiting the Parthenon (I had studied it in History of Architecture) and I was also thrilled with Santorini island. These are some of my shots of this white and blue island.

Inspiring song for a beginner Monday.

This is the song "Clouds" by The Morning Light.

I really like the good feeling it leaves you. I think it's comforting even if some days, it seems like the clouds won't stay away.

I have to start looking "desperately" for a summer job. I've sent lots of CV's but nothing. Let's see if today is my lucky day.

Tonight.

Tonight is a very special festivity. Here we call it "revetlla de Sant Joan" (something like "Saint John's night festival"). So long ago it was held on June 21 to celebrate the summer solstice.
People gather around a bonfire when the sun sets, have dinner and a typical dessert named "coca" (like flatbread pastries). The typical drink is cava (catalan sparkling wine).

Our group of friends are going to celebrate it at the beach, as usual. There's a little village near our city that is hosting a party at the beach with some ska and reggae music bands. We're going to chill out there all night long, and maybe have a really quick bath under the fireworks!

These are some pictures of how could our night be like. Have fun!

Butterflies.

The BKF chair is named after Antonio Bonet, Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy, three Argentinian architects working for the Austral Group. It's also known as Hardoy chair (it is said that Hardoy was the main designer), Butterfly chair... It was made in Buenos Aires in 1938, and it was an update of the Tripolina chair. In 1940 the chair was shown at an exhibition and was discovered by MoMA.

These are some of the pictures that inspire me the most. Both leather and canvas; both indoor and outdoor... this chair is amazing!

Inspiring song for a vacation Monday.

This is my first Monday of vacation, because I finished college last week. I really like this song and the good vibration it leaves you!

It is called Lazy song by Bruno Mars. Enjoy!

GR-92 (Part 0).

The Mediterranean path (also known as GR-92) is the one that crosses Catalonia, in Spain, from Portbou to Ulldecona. It has 31 stages and a total distance of 583km. The  trail (and the whole network of long-distance footpaths in Europe) is marked with white and red stripes.

We are going to try to cover the ten firsts stages of the trail during the summer. All the stages have more or less the same length, duration and difficulty, although they vary a little bit. The stages take between 3:30 and 5 hours, but we are going to make it last all day in some of them and take refreshing baths at gorgeous little beaches.

Let's see if we can achieve this challenge!
